Mr. President: An Iran Attack on Israel Is Attack on US

A devious bit of propaganda from a couple of new York rats. I's not like we haven't noticed all of the right wing hawks chanting the same mantra about Irans nuclear capabilities.

Global Warfare: Targeting Iran: Preparing for World War III

Global Research, November 3, 2011

by Michel Chossudovsky

The military deployment of US-NATO forces is occurring in several regions of the World simultaneously.

Militarization at the global level is instrumented through the US military's Unified Command structure: the entire planet is divided up into geographic Combatant Commands under the control of the Pentagon. According to (former) NATO Commander General Wesley Clark, the Pentagon’s military road-map consists of a sequence of war theaters: “[The] five-year campaign plan [includes]... a total of seven countries, beginning with Iraq, then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Iran, Somalia and Sudan.”

This week I sent a note to President Obama. I sent a similar note to the major Republican candidates for president. The following is the statement.

Dear Mr. President:

I am attaching a statement issued by former Mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani and myself.

It provides the reasons why we believe you should put Iran on notice that an attack by it upon Saudi Arabia or Israel would be considered an attack upon the U.S. to which the U.S. would immediately respond.

We have asked the Republican candidates for president to support you on such a decision. I personally believe that your doing this is in the best interests of our country and would deter Iran from initiating a war against either or both Saudi Arabia and Israel.

All the best.

Kucinich: Try NATO Commanders as War Criminals

NEWSMAX

Tuesday, 23 Aug 2011

Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, has been an outspoken critic of U.S. military action in Libya since it began six months ago, even saying President Barack Obama’s policy amounted to “an impeachable offense.”

Now, as Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi’s regime appears to be toppling, Kucinich is ramping up his criticism with the contention that NATO commanders in Libya should be tried in court for killing civilians, Politico reports.

“NATO’s top commanders may have acted under color of international law, but they are not exempt from international law,” Kucinich said in a statement issued today.

“If members of the Gadhafi regime are to be held accountable, NATO’s top commanders must also be held accountable through the International Criminal Court for all civilian deaths resulting from bombing,” Kucinich said. “Otherwise, we will have witnessed the triumph of a new international gangsterism.”

Israel to Stop Flotilla "Without Physical Contact"

Clinton: Gaza flotilla a bid to provoke Israel

by Gaza Flotilla 101 June 23, 2011

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday criticized activists planning to challenge Israel’s sea blockade of the Gaza Strip, saying their efforts are neither “necessary or useful” in helping the Palestinian people of Gaza.

A day after the State Department warned Americans against participating in the planned flotilla, Clinton said the flotilla, which Israel has said it will thwart, is not helpful and will only increase tensions. She noted that Israeli authorities had this week approved new shipments of housing construction material to enter Gaza legally and that the aim of the organizers appeared to be to merely provoke Israel into using its right to defend itself.

A World View Interview with Benjamin Netanyahu

Uploaded by israelnews on Mar 31, 2011

Channel 2 and YouTube bring you a special interview with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, in which citizens ask questions about the peace process, unrest in the Middle East, and more.

Hogwash, how about the question about Israel funding of mercenaries? This was brought up by Firedoglake in early May, but, of course, not repeated in the main stream media, so the question is...

Did the Israeli government authorize the Israeli company, Global CST, to finance and arm and supply Gaddafi with 50,000 African Mercenaries?

Edward Teller first posted a story about this yesterday, but its not up on the front pages anymore so, I need to hat tip him first by linking to it here.

Second, I want to add some more details that have come to my attention since he posted it. This story is important because it involves the potential use of US Military personnel in a theater of war where they may be harmed, and it involves the use of US tax dollars to pay for those forces. It also involves the right of an indigenous people, Libyans, to determine their future for themselves, and how they have risen up to oppose a brutal tyrant of over 40 years. Finally, this story involves the potential that our Commander-in-Chief and President, Barack Obama, may be lying through his teeth to us, the American people, and that NATO, the United Nations Security Council, and other European nations may also be doing one thing but claiming to do another.

Note: At 5:17 into this video Obama claims that Gaddafi has been hiring mercenaries. I wonder how many people in this room knew the real story and if they did, would they dare try publishing it?

Finally, this story involves the potential that our Commander-in-Chief and President, Barack Obama, may be lying through his teeth to us, the American people, and that NATO, the United Nations Security Council, and other European nations may also be doing one thing but claiming to do another.

Facts:

1. The UK Telegraph reported today that

African mercenaries hired by the Gaddafi regime to kill Libyan protesters would be immune from prosecution for war crimes due to a clause in this weekend’s UN resolution that was demanded by the United States.

2. The United Nations has imposed an arms embargo on the nation of Libya

3. The Rebels have seized most of the port cities on the Mediterranean (meaning they will be the first ones to receive any ship-based weapons cargo…)
4. The US is moving military hardware and assets into the Mediterranean...
President Obama said he is giving the U.S. military “full capacity to act, potentially rapidly,” if things get worse, reports the Washington Post. “I don’t want us hamstrung,” the president said Thursday, adding that he didn’t want “a situation in which defenseless civilians were finding themselves trapped and in great danger,” or “a stalemate that over time could be bloody.”

5. Yet, the Israeli government has authorized the Israeli company, Global CST, to finance and arm and supply Gaddafi with 50,000 African Mercenaries (from Uganda, Chad and other nations)!

Is Israel using High Energy Weapons in Benghazi?.

The answer is probably yes. This from FIREDOGLAKE:

Israeli Company Hires Gadhafi’s Mercenaries – With Approval of the Israeli Government

By: EdwardTeller Thursday March 3, 2011 8:34 am

TEL AVIV, Israel (Ma’an) — An Israeli company is recruiting mercenaries to support Moammar Gadhafi’s efforts to suppress an uprising against his regime, an Israeli news site said Tuesday.

Citing Egyptian sources, the Hebrew-language news site Inyan Merkazi said the company was run by retired Israeli army commanders.

The report claims that many high-profile former Israeli officers have been illegally trading weapons in several African nations, and have faced interrogations over their activities in the past.

The news site said the head of the company recently met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Israeli intelligence chief Aviv Cokhavi. It added that the officials all approved the company’s recruitment of mercenaries to help Gadhafi.

The leader’s brutal crackdown has killed at least 1,000 Libyans so far, human rights groups say.

According to the report, Israeli officials approved the recruitment out of fears that if toppled, Gadhafi would be replaced by an “extremist Islamic regime.”

During Gadhafi’s four-decade rule of the north African state, he has been one of Israel’s most vocal critics.

Company representatives recently flew to Chad to discuss the matter with a high-ranking Libyan intelligence officer Abduallah Sanusi, the report said. During the meeting, Sanusi agreed to pay the company to recruit up to 50,000 mercenaries from African countries, according to the news site.

WikiLeaks: Suleiman told Israel he would 'cleanse' Sinai of arms runners to Gaza

Omar Suleiman, the new vice-president of Egypt, told the Israelis he wanted to start “cleansing the Sinai” of Palestinian arms smugglers, according to leaked cables.

The Telegraph

By Christopher Hope 9:00PM GMT 09 Feb 2011

The news is more evidence of the close ties between Israel, the United States and Mr Suleiman, who is tipped to replace Hosni Mubarak as Egypt’s president.

The close relationship has emerged from American diplomatic cables leaked to the WikiLeaks website and passed to The Daily Telegraph.

Mr Suleiman is Israel’s preferred candidate to replace 82-year-old Mr Mubarak. A secret hotline between Mr Suleiman and the Israelis was said to be “in daily use”, according to US diplomatic cables.

The pledge to cleanse Sinai was made by Mr Suleiman to Yuval Diskin of the Israeli Security Agency (ISA) after he complained about the smuggling of weapons across the border with Gaza. According to a cable sent in November, 2007, Mr Diskin met Rob Danin, the US deputy assistant secretary of state, and Mark Kimmitt, the deputy assistant defence secretary, in Tel Aviv and told them that the Sinai peninsula had now become a “weapons and explosives warehouse” for operations in Gaza, Egypt and Israel.

The cable said: “Diskin told Danin and Kimmit [sic] that the ISA had, on several occasions provided Omar Suleiman, chief of Egypt’s intelligence services, with detailed intelligence on the names of smugglers.

“In 2005, Diskin said he met personally with Suleiman in Egypt, at which time Suleiman promised personally to take responsibility for 'cleansing the Sinai’.”

The cable continued: “Despite these promises and Israeli offers to initiate joint operations, Diskin said Egypt has not acted to eliminate the smuggling networks. In Diskin’s view, there is a core policy problem in that the Egyptians saw themselves as the primary mediator between the Israelis and Palestinians, and are careful not to alienate either side.”

Mr Suleiman worked hard to position himself as the main Egyptian link with Israel. According to the cable, he was blocking attempts by the Israelis to form links with other members of the Cairo government.

This was, according to Mr Diskin, because of Mr Suleiman’s “desire to remain the sole point of contact for foreign intelligence”.

Chris Hedges: US & Israel policies inMiddle East

What Corruption and Force Have Wrought in Egypt

truthdig Posted on Jan 30, 2011

By Chris Hedges

The uprising in Egypt, although united around the nearly universal desire to rid the country of the military dictator Hosni Mubarak, also presages the inevitable shift within the Arab world away from secular regimes toward an embrace of Islamic rule. Don’t be fooled by the glib sloganeering about democracy or the facile reporting by Western reporters—few of whom speak Arabic or have experience in the region. Egyptians are not Americans. They have their own culture, their own sets of grievances and their own history. And it is not ours. They want, as we do, to have a say in their own governance, but that say will include widespread support—especially among Egypt’s poor, who make up more than half the country and live on about two dollars a day—for the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic parties. Any real opening of the political system in the Arab world’s most populated nation will see an empowering of these Islamic movements. And any attempt to close the system further—say a replacement of Mubarak with another military dictator—will ensure a deeper radicalization in Egypt and the wider Arab world.

The only way opposition to the U.S.-backed regime of Mubarak could be expressed for the past three decades was through Islamic movements, from the Muslim Brotherhood to more radical Islamic groups, some of which embrace violence. And any replacement of Mubarak (which now seems almost certain) while it may initially be dominated by moderate, secular leaders will, once elections are held and popular will is expressed, have an Islamic coloring. A new government, to maintain credibility with the Egyptian population, will have to more actively defy demands from Washington and be more openly antagonistic to Israel. What is happening in Egypt, like what happened in Tunisia, tightens the noose that will—unless Israel and Washington radically change their policies toward the Palestinians and the Muslim world—threaten to strangle the Jewish state as well as dramatically curtail American influence in the Middle East.

At age 90, Helen Thomas pulls no punches on Zionist's

Arab-American leaders met with Wayne State University officials Tuesday, asking them to reverse their decision last week to pull an award named after journalist Helen Thomas after she made controversial remarks.

And they defended Thomas against those who say she made anti-Semitic comments Thursday in Dearborn.
"Helen Thomas is not now, and never has, been anti-Semitic," Imad Hamad, regional director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, said Tuesday evening. "She has worked her entire career, 60 years, to bring truth to the American public, and she is simply continuing to do that."
Hamad added: "Wayne State is a friend, and we were shocked."
Robert Cohen, executive director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Metropolitan Detroit, told the Free Press that it's "ludicrous to say that her comments were anything but anti-Semitic. When they're saying 'Zionists,' they're really saying 'Jews.' These are stereotypes that have been used for hundreds of years."
Three Arab-American leaders, including Hamad, met with senior WSU officials, including a vice president and interim dean, Hamad said.
The comments at issue came during an interview and in a speech at a workshop for Arab Detroit.
"Congress, the White House and Hollywood, Wall Street are owned by the Zionists," Thomas, 90, told an audience of about 300. "No question, in my opinion. They put their money where their mouth is."
The national director of the Anti-Defamation League said Thomas' remarks were anti-Semitic. Wayne State officials also said the remarks were wrong and ended the annual Helen Thomas Spirit of Diversity in the Media award.
On Sunday night, Thomas told the Free Press: "The leaders of Wayne State University have made a mockery of the First Amendment and disgraced their understanding of its inherent freedom of speech and the press."
Osama Siblani, publisher of the Dearborn-based Arab American News and spokesman for the Congress of Arab-American Organizations, defended Thomas on Tuesday. He was in the group that met with WSU officials and has received the Helen Thomas award.

Treason by Members of the United States Congress

End Israel Lobbies Pervasive and Damaging Influence in US Politics

Salem-News.com Apr-21-2010 15:17

Debbie Menon

(DUBAI, UAE) - Mark Perry in his recent article in Foreign Policy journal "Petraeus wasn't the First," describes succinctly, the opposition to U.S. support for Israel, the rationale for it, and the cover-up on it among American publishers[1].

"It is extremely valuable reading" recommends Alison Weir, the the executive director of IF AMERICANS KNEW, “it corrects misconceptions that so many Americans have on the causation of U.S. support for Israel - including even some who are otherwise well informed on Palestine” she asserts.

Mark Perry is correct in all respects, of course. It is all old history, as he quotes Joe Hoar of reminding him. Yes, please read it... again... but like Joe Hoar correctly said, "What's the news here? Hasn't this been said before?” and hasn’t it all been done before ?

Has man ever learned from history? I think it says something about the nature of Man when you reflect that Einstein said “that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

Elements, vital elements, of the US Government have always opposed the concept of a Zionist Israel, ever since State and Defense advised Truman not to sign on... which he did with reservations, qualifications and restricting conditions, which were immediately and have long since been ignored.

But, none of these vital elements of governance, govern the Zionist Corporate controlled US Press, Entertainment, Academic, and Public (Mis)information Media where the grass roots of American public opinion are planted and from which the contentedly uninformed American masses take their opinions and feelings and the corporate and business advertising budgets which drive them. Nor do they control the free-spending lobbies who buy and sell Legislators and Politicians on Capitol Hill with the same ease with which they trade banks and corporations on the Stock Market. Go figure!

Glenn Beck, Dick's Army, WASP's, Corruption, and allegience to AIPAC

Yeh right Gland, I mean Glenn, like we haven't seen the corruption brought on by the homeland security act and the presidential dirextives of the George Duhbya Bu$h administration. We haven't noticed that there are at least 6 (six) lobbyists for every congressman. Nor have we noticed that whatever AIPAC wants Aipac gets. Nor that 75% of our congressmen and representatives have signed the letter to President Obama asking to support Israel on the barge incident, the war crimes in Gaza,  the war crimes in Lebanon, the killing of innocent civilions in both Afghanistan and Pakistan, and a myriad of other war crimes. We just haven't noticed because there is way more going on than that.

Your sincerety is surpassed only by your love for the corporate government, Glenn, which is well displayed by your alliance with Dick's Army aka Freedom Works. If you think that being a WASP, White Anglo Saxon Protostant, equates with morality then, by all means, take up a place on the pulpit of AIPAC with the Reverend John Hagee.

Lieberman digs his own grave promoting Zionist agendas

In an exclusive interview with Newsmax, the Connecticut independent discloses that he probably will run for re-election in 2012, most likely as independent, and eschew the Democratic and Republican lines, although he notes that “anything is possible.”

Well, what Lieberweinerman fails to mention here is that the Connecticut for Lieberman Party (CFL), the folks who helped get him onthe ballot in 2006, dislike him with a passion and are working to get him out of office. Seems that everybody is pretty much done with him except for AIPAC.

Israeli tanks enter Gaza

Sydney Morning Herald

March 27, 2010 - 9:54PM

AFP

Israeli tanks entered the Gaza Strip on Friday night, following the killing by militants of two Israeli soldiers, sparking a clash in which a Palestinian was killed.

At least seven Palestinians were killed in the clash, which comes amid the worst spate of violence in the besieged coastal territory in 14 months.

The Palestinian medics said the death and injuries were caused by a tank shell but gave no further details.

The tanks, backed by helicopters, advanced briefly into the Khan Yunis section in the south of the Gaza Strip before retreating to Israeli territory, witnesses said.

The incursion followed a fierce clash on Friday on the border between the Gaza Strip and the Jewish state in which two Israeli soldiers, one an officer, and four Palestinians were killed, according to the Israeli army.

"An officer and a soldier were killed and two others slightly wounded in an exchange of fire with terrorists planting explosives along the security fence in southern Gaza," an army spokesman said in a statement.

General Yoav Golan, the army's commander for the southern region, said one of the Israelis died when his own grenade exploded and that a total of four Palestinians were killed.

Palestinian officials have not confirmed the toll.

Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigade, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas which rules Gaza, has claimed responsibility for the killing of the two soldiers in the heaviest fighting in the territory since the end of the 2008-09 Gaza war.

AIPAC of Raving Lunatics

BlackListedNews

Published on 03-11-2010

By Keith Johnson - Revolt of the Plebs

Without regard for the severe economic devastation and loss of life that a war with Iran would create, Israel’s agents in the United States continue to aggressively stoke the fires of anti-Iranian rhetoric and mobilize their minions on the floor of the House.

The Brzezinski-Soros machine failed in their attempt to effect regime change in Iran by way of a “color revolution” in the summer of 2009. This has only emboldened the Israeli lobby to pursue more drastic measures. There is only one card left for them to play before provoking conflicts that will most certainly catapult the United States into direct military action against the Islamic state.

Tuesday, the American Israeli Political Action Committee gave their marching orders to their congressional War Hawks. The message was short, concise and clear. Here is the text of the letter AIPAC sent to members of Congress:

Dear Congressman XXXX

Wednesday, March 03, 2010

Is it just me, or is Zionism going out of fashion?

Sometimes it's better to just hop on your old horse,  get rid of that new saddle and light one up.

Who's to say that the POTUS really has any power or ever has. Poppa Bu$h's kid, Duhbya, proclaimed that he wanted to be the War President before he was elected and he were one. When he called for war in Iraq, millions of people demonstrated, but operation Shock & Awe was put in place. Not because it was his idea, but because the shadow government with ties going clear back to the Ronnie Raygun movie set wanted to begin the occupation of the Middle East. So Duhbya called himself the commander in chief, stumbled through his speeches, and signed everything that came down the pipes. decimating every environmental law that we the sheeple fought many years for and enabled the horrors of Homeland Security.

Before Obama was elected it became evident that AIPAC would have influence on his office when Hillary said that Obama would be a good friend to Israel, which he confirmed on the podium. To clinch his allegience to corporate government the elected Democratic congress was bought and paid for by lobbyists while the senate was compromised by Joe Lieberman.

"This Time We Went Too Far"

Truth and Consequences in the Gaza Invasion

counterpunch March 3, 2010

By NORMAN FINKELSTEIN

Editors' Note: This article is excerpted from Norman Finkelstein’s important new book about the Gaza conflict, “This Time We Went Too Far” published this month by OR Books. To purchase a copy of the complete book please visit OR Books. This book is not available from bookstores or other online retailers.

Public outrage at the Gaza invasion did not come out of the blue but rather marked the nadir of a curve plotting a steady decline in support for Israel. As polling data of Americans and Europeans, both Gentiles and Jews, suggest, the public has become increasingly critical of Israeli policy over the past decade. The horrific images of death and destruction broadcast around the world during and after the invasion accelerated this development. “The increased and brutal frequency of war in this volatile region has shifted international opinion,” the British Financial Times editorialized one year later, “reminding Israel it is not above the law. Israel can no longer dictate the terms of debate.”

One poll registering the fallout from the Gaza attack in the United States found that American voters calling themselves supporters of Israel plummeted from 69 per cent before the attack to 49 per cent in June 2009, while voters believing
that the U.S. should support Israel dropped from 69 per cent to 44 per cent. Consumed by hate, emboldened by self-righteousness, and confident that it could control or intimidate public opinion, Israel carried on in Gaza as if it could get away with mass murder in broad daylight. But while official Western support for Israel held firm, the carnage set off an unprecedented wave of popular outrage throughout the world. Whether it was because the assault came on the heels of the devastation Israel wrought in Lebanon, or because of Israel’s relentless persecution of the people of Gaza, or because of the sheer cowardice of the assault, the Gaza invasion appeared to mark a turning point in public opinion reminiscent of the international reaction to the 1960 Sharpeville massacre in apartheid South Africa.

Rahm Emanuel serves Obama exactly as he served Bill Clinton: As a Zionist

Chief of Staff Draws Fire From Left as Obama Falters

Wall Street Journal

By PETER WALLSTEN JANUARY 26, 2010

WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama's liberal backers have a long list of grievances. The Guantanamo Bay prison is still open. Health care hasn't been transformed. And Wall Street banks are still paying huge bonuses.

But they are directing their anger less at Mr. Obama than at the man who works down the hall from him. Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, they say, is the prime obstacle to the changes they thought Mr. Obama's election would bring.

Some observers say Rahm Emanuel is losing favor with liberal Democrats. Could his job be on the line? Kelsey Hubbard talks with WSJ's Peter Wallsten about the future of President Obama's chief of staff.

The friction was laid bare in August when Mr. Emanuel showed up at a weekly strategy session featuring liberal groups and White House aides. Some attendees said they were planning to air ads attacking conservative Democrats who were balking at Mr. Obama's health-care overhaul.

"F—ing retarded," Mr. Emanuel scolded the group, according to several participants. He warned them not to alienate lawmakers whose votes would be needed on health care and other top legislative items.

Deja-Vu? Not being up to date on Emanuel's history, I wondered why, with his Zionist connections, he was chose as senior adviser by Obama. So, being kind of  kicked back in the now, went straight to the Wiki. I wasn't disappointed.

Some highlights:
*At the start of then-Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton's presidential primary campaign, Emanuel was appointed to direct the campaign's finance committee.

*Following the campaign, Emanuel became a senior advisor to Clinton at the White House from 1993 to 1998. In the White House, Emanuel was initially Assistant to the President for Political Affairs and then Senior Advisor to the President for Policy and Strategy.

*He was a leading strategist in the unsuccessful White House efforts to institute universal healthcare; and many other Clinton initiatives
*
*Emanuel was named to the Board of Directors for the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation ("Freddie Mac") by then President Bill Clinton in 2000.

Rahm Israel Emanuel

Rahm Israel Emanuel; born November 29, 1959) is an American politician currently serving as White House Chief of Staff to President Barack Obama. He served previously as Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Illinois's 5th congressional district from 2003 until his resignation in 2009 to take up his current position in the Obama Administration.

Emanuel was chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee during the 2006 mid-term elections and remained a top strategist for House Democrats during the 2008 cycle. After Democrats regained control of the House in 2006, Emanuel was elected chairman of the Democratic Caucus. This made him the fourth-ranking House Democrat, behind Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Majority Whip Jim Clyburn. Two days after Obama's election victory, he was announced as Barack Obama's designate for White House Chief of Staff. Emanuel resigned from the House on January 2, 2009 and began his current job on January 20, 2009, the day of Obama's inauguration.

Beyond the Left

Son of a Zionist Terrorist: Rahm Emanuel’s Dirty Secret

The Peoples Voice

Christopher Bollyn 06/05/08

The new "golden boy" of the Democrat Party, the Israeli-American congressman Rahm Emanuel, is the son of terrorist. Really, I am not making this up, the chief power-broker of the Democrat Party, the 5-and-a-half foot foul-mouthed Israeli named Rahm, is the son of terrorist – a real living terrorist.

So, what do we do as citizens of the land of the free and the home of the brave fighting the War on Terror? Do we run and hide from the foul-mouthed little Israeli who danced ballet and swears for effect - or do we laugh? Or do we demand answers? How can we respect a U.S. Congressman who served in a foreign army and whose father was a terrorist?

Rep. Rahm Benjamin Emanuel, the Democrat congressman for the 5th District of Illinois in Chicago is the son of an Israeli terrorist. Rahm's father, Benjamin, was a member of the Irgun, the Zionist terrorist organization that coined a new word as they blew up hotels, train stations, and other buildings in Palestine in the 1930s and 40s.

Rahm was an Israeli citizen until he was 18 years old, when for obvious reasons he hid his Israeli passport in his underwear drawer. In 1991, however, he pulled his Israeli passport out and went and reportedly joined the Israeli Army to defend Zion from Saddam's Scuds.

Irgun, the army of his father, is short for Irgun Zvai Leumi, which supposedly means something like "National Military Organization" in Hebrew. As a matter of fact, the Irgun was simply a terrorist Zionist group that operated in Palestine from 1931 to 1948. They killed innocent Palestinians and British soldiers and blew up buildings.
