Some of the things I don't know about Codex Alimentarius

(Part 1of5) Codex Alimentarius is an attempt to overturn existing US laws in favor of pharma-friendly international trade rules. Codex is a threat to human health, human rights, democracy and national sovereignty.

The Codex Alimentarius is a threat to the freedom of people to choose natural healing and alternative medicine and nutrition. Ratified by the World Health Organization, and going into Law in the United States in 2009, the threat to health freedom has never been greater. This is the first part of a series of talks by Dr. Rima Laibow MD, available on DVD from the Natural Solutions Foundation, an non-profit organization dedicated to educating people about how to stop Codex Alimentarius from taking away our right to freely choose nutritional health.

Here's a link to a bill that is now going before congress. Kudos to Opit's Linkfest

HR 875 The food police, criminalizing organic farming and the backyard gardener, and violation of the 10th amendment

HR 875 http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/F?c111:1:./temp/~c1112RD9bb:e11439:

This bill is sitting in committee and I am not sure when it is going to hit the floor. One thing I do know is that very few of the Representatives have read it. As usual they will vote on this based on what someone else is saying. Urge your members to read the legislation and ask for opposition to this devastating legislation. Devastating for everyday folks but great for factory farming ops like Monsanto, ADM, Sodexo and Tyson to name a few.

I have no doubt that this legislation was heavily influenced by lobbyists from huge food producers. This legislation is so broad based that technically someone with a little backyard garden could get fined and have their property siezed. It will effect anyone who produces food even if they do not sell but only consume it. It will literally put all independent farmers and food producers out of business due to the huge amounts of money it will take to conform to factory farming methods. If people choose to farm without industry standards such as chemical pesticides and fertilizers they will be subject to a vareity of harassment from this completely new agency that has never before existed. That's right, a whole new government agency is being created just to police food, for our own protection of course.

Yet another one world order-weapon against humanity, The Codex Alimentarius

May 24, 2008

One discovery I just made, and it probably is old news to some of my readers, is the Codex Alimentarius. Sound ominous? It’s meant to be. But all it means is ‘Food Code’ or ‘Food Book’ in Greek. By using the Greek name, the Order has made sure the publication sounds ‘difficult’ in the average person’s mind so they would just ignore it. And it works. The Codex was started in the 1960s under the auspices of the U.N. and the WHO. Innocently enough, it was to, “…protect the health of consumers and ensure fair practices in the international food trade. The Codex Alimentarius is recognized by the World Trade Organization as an international reference point for the resolution of disputes concerning food safety and consumer protection…“.

That’s fair I guess. But like all things that start out helping people originally, it was co-opted by people whose sole purpose is to cause chaos, gain personal power, create a stratified society, control food production and just make an everyday person’s life a living hell because they can.

The Food Book and Its Ramifications

March 11, 2009

In response to a popular thread that’s been going on between myself and my readers, the talk of a “Food Book” or otherwise known as “The Codex Alimentarius”, is a book of regulations the United Nations are using to monitor and regulate foodstuffs around the planet.

But it’s not as simple as that. There are people who see the “Codex” as an infringement on their rights to grow organic food and herbs, thus giving the pharmaceutical industry carte blanche to peddle genetically engineered drugs and other unsavory concoctions all over the globe:
