Harmonies Unveiled: Pythagorean Secrets of Music, Color, and the Cosmos
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is an excellent description of the secrets of music ~ Although Pythagorus explained the basis for trignometry, his theorem for color and sound is not well understood without studying the behaviour of waves. My friend, Joe, recommended a book to me called "In Search for the Miraculous, by Ouspenski" which explains that: as they accelerate the octave is formed and there is a shock in the middle, that slows down the vibrations by one half, forming the note Fa. Then they progress in the same way to the note, Do, one octave higher. These are the same notes heard in a bugle or an aolian harp.
