Summer arrives in Independence OR for July the Fourth celebrations.

Finally, after the wettest spring that we have seen here for many years, we're going to have a solid week of warm weather and sunshine. This might be the year that we won't have any rain on the Fourth of July weekend.

Independence Oregon is a small town, but independence Day is our day to party, in fact we had fireworks on July 3rd and 4th both. We have more people in town over the fourth than any other time of the year.

The show is in Riverview park in the old downtown, and the fireworks are shot off on the opposite side of the Willamette River, only a couple hundred feet away, for a close-up view for those that want to sit on the river bank.
